How do I delete a saved/stored password from my web browser?

If your web browser has stored an old password, then you may struggle to log in with a new password. To delete a stored password, simply follow the instructions below depending on your web browser:


  1. In Firefox, click the Firefox button (or the Tools button if you're using Windows XP).
  2. Click Options.
  3. Choose Security.
  4. Click Saved Passwords and delete as required.
  5. Finally click OK to confirm your changes.

Internet Explorer

  1. In Explorer, choose the Tools symbol in the top right hand corner.
  2. Click Internet Options.
  3. Go to Content.
  4. In the Autocomplete section click Settings.
  5. Uncheck the boxes for both Forms and Usernames and Passwords on Forms.
  6. Click OK to confirm your changes.

  2. Click Autofill.
  3. Next to Usernames and Passwords click Edit, and change your settings as required.
